RACE MEETINGS IN APIA

At the annual meeting of members of the Apia Turf Club (Samoa) this month it was decided to hold four meetings during the current year, and also that a Corinthian, handicap, for amateur riders, be included in each programme. There are now five valuable cups to be competed for each year, and the, standard of the horses has greatly improved.. The principal officers for the ensuing- seasori are:—Patron, the Acting Administrator; president, the Hon. A. G. Smyth, M.L.C.; vice-president, Mr. A. R. Cobcroft; judge, the Hon.; A. G. Smyth;, secretary arid treasurer, Mr. G. Griffith.
