IMPORTS AND EXPORTS

LARGE INCREASES SHOWN

Over 35 per cent, of a' total value of £41,672,430 of imports to' Ne w: Zealand, during, the year ended' September 30, 1936, and 23 per, cent, of a Dominion total'of £56,686,762 of exports passed through the port of Wellington, states the annual; report of the general manager and secretary of the Welling-ton-Harbour Board. ..-; ' ; .-■ ■

The total net register tonnage of trading vessels entering the port during the year ended September 30, 193b (excluding 33,649' tons representing warships, lighters, private yachts, etc.), amounted to 3,910,801/ . which is 120;365 tons greater than last year.
