Mr. George Dewe, an old resident of New Zealand, who : is revisiting the country after an absence of twentyfour years to see relatives here, arrived ,in Wellington last night. Mr. Dewe was an enthusiastic cricket and football supporter, being a member, of the King Edward Crickef Club until he was ,63 years of, age, and during his residence in Canada,; where* he lived after leaving . New ; Zealand, he was presented with the New! Zealand silver fern by. Mr. S. S. Dean, manager of the All Black football team that toured Canada in 1925. • 'Before leaving Canada Mr. Dewe was "presented with .an illuminated address. He is also the author of a: booklet entitled "Cricket Throughout the Empire." While he is in New Zealand he will deliver'a series of lectures on Canada, for which he has. brought 150 lantern slides provided by Canadian Pacific Railways.
