RELIEF^ ALLOWANCE
FEDERAL REDUCTION
DELAYED
WASHINGTON, March 6.
Following a conference between President Roosevelt and the Governors of six large industrial States, including New York, Ohio, and Illinois, it was announced that the Federal Government would delay its plan,to reduce radically the Works Progress Administration allowance.
The Governors had insisted that their States were unable to bear the relief burden without a continuance of Federal aid. The suspensions planned for June may be postponed indefinitely.
