CLERK BARONET

RESIDENT OF SYDNEY

(From "The Post's" Representative.) SYDNEY, February 23.

A seventeenth century English baronetcy has passed to a Sydney bank clerk, Mr. Frederick,Trollope-^-grand-son of the Victorian novelist, Anthony Trollope. He becomes 14th Baronet of

Casewick.

The actual estate associated with the baronetcy is small. It is unlikely that the title, Sir Frederick Farrand Trollope, Bart., will be useii in Sydney.

the baronetcy in 1935. Asked if he intended to accept tlie title, Mr. Trollope replied: "That question does not arise. The title simply passes down."

The new baronet is chief security clerk at the Commercial Banking Co. of Sydney Ltd.

Originally the title was a barony, which became extinct when Lord Kestevan was killed during the war. He l;ad no direct heirs, and only the baronetcy passed down. The title was created in 1642..

Mr.. Trollope's succession depends on whether his elder brother who died in Hong Kong last year lift any male issue. It is known that the brothel married late in life, but it is not yet known whether he had any children. The Sydney bank official is not married.
