INSTITUTE OLD BOYS
The annual meeting of the Institute Old Boys' Association Football Club was held at the Boys' Institute last week. Mr. M. R. Bilby presided over an excellent attendance or members.
The annual report said that last year had proved a very successful one, the club entering three teams and winning two trophies. -The first A had finished fourth in the championship ladder. The reserve team, promoted to the second A grade after winning both cup and championship of the second B grade, succeeded in winning their championship. The fourth A team was also successful in gaining a-trophy, the Knock: Out Cup of their grade. The financial statement showed that the club was in a sound position. The election. of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Sir George A. Troup; president, Mr. .Gerald Bell; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Tanner and Rogers, Messrs. W. A., Parton, R. Spring, A. Iremonger, J. Howitt, J. Smith. N. Griffiths, L. J. Calvert, A. B. Willis, jN T. H. Byng, B. A. Mabin, H. Cranmer, C. K. Dick, and the director "of the Boys' Institute; club captain, Mr. Vie Pagan; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. R. Hicks; hon. auditor, Mr. L. J. Calvert; chairman of committees, Mr. M. R. Bilby; management committee, Messrs. R. Boyer, F. Rogers, M. S. King, and J. Hurcombe; trustees, Messrs. M. R. Bilby and H.« R. Hicks; delegates to W.F.A., Messrs. M. R. Bilby, H. F. Cranmer, and V. Pagan; trainer, Mr. J. Gallacher; coaches, Messrs. H. Cranmer and V. Pagan.
Special thanks for their assistance were extended to the trainer and coaches and all members were urged to attend regularly on training nights.
It was decided to enter four teams this year in the first A, second A, third A, and fourth A grades. Training commences next Wednesday.'
