WOMEN'S CRICKET

In the final of the women's senior cricket competition, Technical College Old Girls and Wellington College Old Girls played a drawn match. Details are:— .

Technical Old Girls, 59 for five wickets (Sheridan 19 not out, Buck 16). College Old Girls, 171 (Hatcher 72, Sternberg 28). Bowling for College Old Girls, Pickering took four for 23. For Technical Old Girls, Sampson two for 40, Sheridan two for 41, Ell two In the second senior match, Y.W.C.A., 62 (K. Symes 15, C. Robertson 12) beat Wellington 24 (D. Clederley 12, B. Godfrey 10). Bowling for Y.W.C.A. B. Nash took three for 11, O. Whitelaw two for 12. For Wellington1 K. Simes four for 19, J. Mack five for 24.

Intermediate Trial. In an intermediate trial match, Possible v Probables, Probables scored an easy win. In a total of 206, J. Capper scored 26 (retired), M. Clarke 25 (retired), O. Watkins 18, and M, Bennett 24; extras accounted for 32. In reply, Possibles scored only 38, no batsman reaching double figures. N. Sissons was top scorer with 8. Against this weak batting J.
