TOUR BY LEADER
CRITICISM OF GOVERNMENT

AUCKLAND, This Day.
The Leader of the National .Party (the* 'Hon. A. Hamilton) afrived^rom Wellington by train today and left later by car for North Auckland to commence an extended tour of the province. He told supporters who met him that he had received many requests, especially from country districts, to visit them. It had seemed to him, however, that it was only,iair?to give the Labour Party, who had been indisputably voted to power ( by. the will of the people,, a fair, chance to settle down in office. and show thencapabilities before criticising.them. The new Government had now. been in office over a year and sufficient had ' been seen of their policy to give the Opposition the grounds for criticism: Mr. Hamilton said he had found on his tour that the National Party was winning enthusiastic support.
