DRIVER KILLED
TWO WOMEN INJURED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) i NEW PLYMOUTH, March. 7. { A man was killed and two women were injured in a motor smash at Hawera on Saturday afternoon. They I were:—■ ! Killed. Hughic Wise Flower, labourer, Tawhiti. Injured. Mrs. E. Way, shock and scalp wounds. Miss Jean Way,. abrasions to face and contortion of right leg. Mr. Flower was driving to the Hawera Hospital to see his wife, a patient in the hospital, when his car came into collision with a car driven by Mr. P. Keegan, Stratford, at an intersection. The front wheels were interlocked and Mr. Flower's car turned round to face the direction whence it came. It capsized and was wrecked. Mr. Flower was dead when released from the wreckage.
Mrs. E. Way and Miss Way were admitted to Hawera Hospital.
A third passenger, Mrs. R. Way, suffered from shock only and was able to go home.
None of the passengers in Mr Keegan's car was.injured.
