Prior to his departure from Auckland for ■Wellington the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones), discussed with Maori tribal leaders arrangements for the New Zealand Coronation contingent. Representatives of the Maori Returned Soldiers' Club expressed their appreciation of the fact that four members of the Maori race had been successful in the ballot.
