The Johnsonville branch of the League of-Mothers held' their ~ first meeting for the ■ year recently, Mrs. Hogg, presiding.,over an attendance of 55 membei-s and'friends'.'"
The meeting ■,o'p l ened with.the singing of the League Hymn arid prayer. A hearty - welcome was extended to all visitors, intending members, and members. • ' : .'■■-..
.' The hall had been beautifully decorated; with flowers and greenery by some:! of the committee.
Mrs. G. Cook, Lower Hutt,. gave a delightful ■ "Travel Talk" which was very;;much appreciated- by all present. Great interest was shown when Mrs. Cook) told, of her visit to various kindergSrtens*in America and'her description iof-the , v beau,tiful scenery; and,,flowers in California was'charming. Many humorous incidents on her travels were related, these amusing her- listeners. , '■. ;■■•■ . , ' ■ ~. - .

i Afternoon tea was served by some of the members, followed by a social chat which brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close. . ,
