WELLINGTON SOUTH CLUB

The annual general'meeting of the ■ Wellington South Club was held last 'Tuesday evening. There was a good muster of members, and the club captain, Mr. D. Preston, was in the chair. A motion of condolence and sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. ■S. R. Scott, a life member, was carried in the customary manner. The financial statement showed a substantial cash balance in hand. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. F. M. Renner; vice-presidents, Mrs. J. Staples, Messrs. E. J. Witcombe, R. Mc•Keen, M.P., F. E. Franklyn, H. H. Morris, J. Pitt, P. Stewart, J. McArdle, W. H Dray, J. A. Robertson,?. W. Creswell, and S. Tisdall; club captain, Mr. D. Preston; vice-captain, Mr. W. T. Creswell; secretary,' Mr. P. W. Congreve; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. J. A. Tyberg; coach, Mr. R. Congreve;- delegate to W.M.R.A., Mr. P W. Congreve; general committee, the officers and Messrs. R. Boddy and D. McGinnity, and Mrs. W. T. Creswell and Miss E. Stratford; auditor, Mr. J. Henderson; referee, Mr. W. Scambary; handicappers and selectors, Messrs. D. Preston, W. T. Creswell, and P. W. Congreve. The shooting season is to commence on March 2. Intending members will be' welcomed on the range. .They are advised tf apply for membership early so as to get as much practice as possible before the competitions start; •
