Dr. Francis Bennett and Mrs. Bennett, who have been attending the biennial conference of the New Zealand branch of the British-Medical Association in Wellington, will return to Christchurch this week. At the conference Dr. Bennett was presented with the Hunterian medal, which for the first time has been awarded to a doctor resident in New Zealand.

Sister Adams, Timaru,* is visiting Wellington. .. ,

Mr. and Mrs G. Ross, Wellington, attended the Ferguson—Ewen wedding in Auckland on Friday.

Mrs. A. C. Mclnnes, Timaru, who has .been visiting Wellington, has returned home.

Mrs. Fitzhugh Green, wife of the American author, arrived at Auckland on Friday by the Monterey on an extended visit, part of which will be spent at her summer home at Lake Taupo. Mrs. Green, who visited the Dominion last summer, is an experienced traveller and angler. She is at present at Hotel Cargen.

Miss Primrose Self, Khandallah, who has been visiting 'friends in Auckland, Te Aroha, and Te Kuiti, returned home yesterday morning.

Mrs. D. A. Wraight, Wellington, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. O. D. Sewell, St. Martins,' Christchurch, left for Dunedin on Saturday morning to visit relatives there before joining the Rotorua next week for England.

Mls% Norma Carpenter, Sydney, and Miss Miriam Hunter, Havelock North, are the guests of Mrs. C. G. White, Selwyn Terrace. - ' Mrs. E. C. d'Auvergne, Waihao Forks, South Canterbury, is the guest of Mrs. L. F. Pegler, Wadestown. Mr. and Mrs. W. Mexted; Pahautanui, will leave this month by the Arawa for a visit to England' and the Continent. Mrs. A. H. Parkhurst, New York, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. Tyndall, Boulcott Terrace, has left for Sydney before returning to the U.S.A. Mrs. G. Goulden left on Saturday by the Marama for Melbourne to join her husband.
