ASHBURTON, This Day

The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Minister of Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) received an enthusiastic welcome on arrival from Timaru, the largest hall in the town being well filled for a civic reception at which the Mayor. Mr. Woods, and the county chairman, Mr. Frampton, spoke. The Ministers were entertained by the two local bodies at luncheon, and are being accorded a Labour reception this afternoon.
