BUILDERS' CONFERENCE

TIMARU, February 25.
Mr. W. Petrie, of Timaru, :was unanimously elected president of the-New Zealand Federated Builders' and Contractors' Association at the annual conference today.!' Other t officers elected were; _Vice-president, Mr.- :J. W. Andrews (Lower' Hutt); executive. Messrs. W. Parkin, W. Clark,: A. Fletcher, and G. Dick '(Wellington); exofficip members, of the executive, Messrs. A.'' Fraser. (Wellington), ,V. Coyle (Auckland), N.Webb (Christchurch), and;£). O'Conneir (Dunedin); honorary auditors, Messrs. A.l B. Fraser and P. C. Watt (Wellington); trustees, Messrs. W. Parkin and- .W. Mill (Wellington); representative on New Zealand Employers' Federation advisory board, Mr. W. Mill. .(Wellington). . . Tributes to the splendid work of the retiring president were paid by Messrs. Petrie; and Andrews, Mr. Mill- being I accorded a vote of thanks. ' It r- was-' unanimously decided to accept an invitation from the Palmerston North Association to hold the next conference in that city.
