FLYING CHIEF IMPROVED
(Special from "Limited.") HAWERA, February 25. Student Prince has resumed light work but will not race until Easter. He has brightened up and should soon come to hand. Beau Star has been returned home and will be spelled until the winter meetings. Black Friar will not be a competitor at the Te Aroha Meeting. He has already been returned home. Dick Fryer has taken Flying Chief and Supreme Court to join International, Tout le Monde, and Pantoon at Te Aroha. Flying Chief has improved since racing and has excellent prospects at the weekend. Jack Fryer cannot be said to be without fortune's favouring breeze at times. Following on Wotan's unlookedfor win in the Melbourne Cup comes the hurdle victory at first time of asking of his recent purchase. Tout le Monde; Deputed to look around for a likely hurdler for a client, Fryer purchased Tout le Monde, only to have his choice turned down by his client. Nothing deterred he decided on keeping the horse for himself. Thoroughly sound, the' right age, and with stout breeding, Tout le Monde promises to go a long way at the hurdle business and Fryer can be depended to get the best out of him. Notium has freshened v - and has been nominated for the Ohinemuri Meeting. The Nigger Minstrel—Slackline filly Shemseh, who went wrong at Christmas time, has been turned out indefinitely. Mr. J. Dealy's pair. Little Robin and Fairy Dale, are on the easy list. Little Thrush (the dam of Little Robin), with foal at foot, was brought in this week and is to be railed to Wellington *arJyr?itatii64iimed.ciMit>at4Ji&?Jiutt.
