WHARF FATALITY

FALL INTO HARBOUR

Falling into the harbour from the Taranaki Street Wharf shortly before 2 o'clock this afternoon, an elderly man was rescued and taken to hospital, where he was found to be dead. At the time of going to press he had not been identified.

Men working on the Holmglen saw the man sitting on a stringer, and then he fell. Two or three of them rescued him and he was conveyed to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
