MONTEREY AT AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) ■ AUCKLAND, This Day. ■ After an absence of three months, due to the American maritime strike, the Matson liner Monterey arrived this morning from San Francisco with 469 passengers, many of them for Auckland. A number of New Zealand and Australian business men returned after being held up at Los Angeles and San Francisco. There were also a number of American tourists. The vessel brought 2216 bags of mail, including 378 for Auckland.
