SHERRY PARTY
MRS. FULLER ENTERTAINS
ENGLISH ARTIST WELCOMED
Mrs. Murray Fuller invited a number of people who are interested in art to a "five o'clock" party at the Hotel Cecil yesterday to meet Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Lamorna Birch. Mr. Lamorna Birch is a Royal Academician, the first to visit New Zealand. He and. his wife have just arrived in Wellington after making a painting tour through the North Island, and he is very keen about the beauty of the country. After he has visited the south, and before leaving for England, he intends to hold an exhibition in Wellington. Mrs. Fuller's guests were all very pleased to meet this ■ distinguished artist and his wife, who have a contagiously happy and charming manner. Sherry and savouries were served continuously and the party was a very cheery one.
■.The lounge was decorated with bowls of yellow zinnias and,looked particularly attractive. Mrs. Fuller was wear-
ing a floral dress with a Russian blouse effect, and a charming gown of delphinium blue spotted with white was worn by Mrs. Birch.'
