RUGBY, February 23.
Exchequer returns lor the past week show that the total ordinary revenue amounts to £668,690,728, compared with £644,665,284 at the corresponding date of last year. The total ordinary expenditure was £693,217,270, compared with £653,379,039 at the corresponding date of 1936. The chief feature of the returns" is the increased yield of income tax, . which totalled £17,356,000 last week, compared with £ 13,147,000- in the corresponding week of last year. . .
