Although the Wellington . Amateur. Athletic Club has a big - lead in the Dewar Shield contest, competition at the'final meeting for the trophy to,be held at Hataitai on Saturday nevertheless promises to be exceptionally keen. With the provincial, championships on Saturday week, leading local athletes are availing themselves of this last opportunity for competition before'the big meeting. Excellent -entries have been received, and among those taking part will be A. R: Wilson. W. Ogg, C. Robinson, A; J. Mackay, T. J. Crowe, W. Redpath, A. Weeply, and JV Sutherland, the brilliant Waitaki High School sprinter. ■ '-■ ;:
