"SING, SAY, OR PAY"
The Wellington South' branch of the League of Mothers , held its opening meeting for this year this week'in- the Church-of Christ school) hall, Mrs. R. Pearson presiding., There was a 'good attendance of members and friends. Visitors from '.Ngaio, i Miramar,' and Brooklyn branches were given a hearty .welcome, and1 five members were initiated.
Elocutionary items.by Mrs. Stinson were much appreciated, and the rest of the afternoon.was spent in a'"Sing, Say, or Pay" competition, when a good number of .members contributed items. The fines collected from non-perform-ers were donated to the choir for the purchase of music.
