The death occurred recently in Wellington of .Miss Gladys James, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. James, of Karori. Miss James had been ill' for some months, and had recently returned from a trip to her] sister in Rhodesia. For a number of years she taught at Taihape. Karori Cemetery,- was conducted 'by the . Rev.- F. A., Tooley. ~' The pallbearers were Captain W., Hargreaves, Captain P. ,J.. Foster, Messrs. W. A. Jameson, H. E. Longworth, B. A. Black, A. Walker,-and D., Young. Many floral tributes arid messages were received.
