Cranswick, 8.A.. of Matamata, and Mr. J. T. Withers, -of Christchurch, was reported .by the Held secretary, Captain S. R. Banyard, at a meeting of the executive committee of the Church Army ' (states the VNew Zealand Herald."), Miss Cranswick, who is with Sister North in the South-Island, and Mr. Withers, who is stationed in Auckland, bring the number of New Zcalanders with the Army to'nine.
Mr. Banyard said''that.1 a' necessary work was, being performed in the East Coast railway construction camps, where one worker lived among the men at Tikiwhata camp and tramped to near-by settlements, visiting men and their families in their canvas homes and arranging social gatherings as well as conducting services' and Sunday schools.
