DECISION IN ABEYANCE In response to an inquiry as to progress in the matter of creating a portfolio for Air, to co-ordinate civil and military aviation,' the Minister of Defence advised the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce at its meeting today that the question of creating an Air Ministry was to remain in abeyance until the Government had received and considered the report on the air aspect of the defence problems of New Zealand which was to be made by Wing-Commander the Hon. R. A. Cochrane, A.F.C., R.A.F., by arrangement with the Home authorities.
