APPRENTICE CONCESSIONS
The English .Jockey Club has revised its rules governing apprentices. Apprentices will be permitted to claim 51b allowance in all selling races and in handicap sweepstakes to which not more than £500 is added for the winner, and also in handicap plates of the advertised value of not more than £500, except in races confined to apprentices. The allowance can be claimed until the boys have ridden 40 winners, apprentice races excepted.
