At the wool sales today 12,796 bales were offered, r of which 11,870 were sold at auction; also 1425 bales were sold privately. Best descriptions ruled vex*y firm and there was a hardening tendency for average to good fleece and skirtings, prices for which were in sellers' favour. Greasy merino made to 28d.
