HOLLYWOOD, December 28.
The gross receipts of the motion picture industry in 1936 were approximately 1,000,000,000 dollars, 25 per cent, in excess of 1935, and the best for fivs years. The weekly theatre attendances are estimated at 81,000,000, compared with 71,000,000 in 1935.
