TACOMA KIDNAPPING
G-MEN TAKE CHARGE OF CASE

TACOMA, December 28.
G-men have taken control of- tha Mattson kidnapping case. Dr. Mattson's house has been turned into a central bureau. Five new telephone lines have been installed and police agents and officials are working from it in an effort first to obtain the safa return of the boy. A newspaper advertisement was inserted and bundles of ■ old, wrinkled bank-notes totalling 18,000 dollars have been prepared, all in accordance with the abductors' instructions. -The parents are now awaiting a signal from the kidnapper.
Dr. Mattson. today performed a major operation at Tacoma Hospital while awaiting news. .
