MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

(Special to tho "Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. Two cars met in head-on collision near Awahuri yesterday morning, a j passenger in one, Mr. Luoni, farm hand, of Hunterville, suffering face and throat injuries that necessitated his removal to hospital. Luoni, with another man, Thomas Brunton, hairdresser, of Hunterville, who escaped unhurt, were passengers in a car driven by Alfred O. Partridge, labourer, of Hunterville, who also was unhurt. They were proceeding to Palmerston North and were overtaking a car When they collided with another car driven by William N. Thompson, tally clerk, of Gisborne, travelling in the opposite direction. The latter had his three -children with him, aged nine, seven, and three years respectively, and they tUL suffered minor cuts and abrasions. «
