AUCKLAND'S TRIALS

A decision to hold two or more trials to selec.t the boat and crew to represent Auckland in the annual contest for the Sanders Cup at Lyttelton on February 4 was made at a meeting of the Auckland Sanders Cup selection committee recently, says the "Herald." The fourth race of the series will be held on January 9, starting off King's Wharf at 2.30 p.m. Only Aileen and Endeavour will be eligible to start. Of the three races held to date, Aileen has won one and-Endeavour two.
