The first two. volumes yrill shortly be published -by, Blaekie5' and Son of a new illustrated series .on the "English Public Schools," written with authority and up to date. "Winchester" has been written by J. DE Firth, assistant master and chaplain, who includes some personal recollections and opinions, as well as a .survey of the special history and . characteristics of Winchester ' College . and .its; contribution to" English life. The other forthcoming volume is devoted to "Harrow," by P. H. Morgan'Bryant—an old Harrovian, now on the staff' of University CPllege School' — who adds to his story o f Harrow from its earliest days 'chapters' on "Harrow Songs" and "Famous Assistant Masters." Later volumes in preparation include Eton, Marlborough, Charterhouse, and Westminster.
