WINTER SETS IN
HEAVY SNOW IN ENGLAND
• .' (British Official Wireless.) (Received December 8, noon.) RUGBY, December 7. In many parts of Britain there were heavy falls of snow during the weekend and in the London area the first fall of winter caused some disorganisation in road transport, the; surf aces on many roads in the Home counties being in a dangerous condition. Snow lay so thick on some roads in,northern England and Scotland as to, render them impassable. The cold weather continued today with bright sunshine.
