DEATH OF PATIENT

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 22,

A patient of the Christchurch Public Hospital, William Vincent Delahunt, aged 58, died this afternoon after receiving a fractured thigh and cerebral injuries when he fell from the second floor of the east wing of the hospital this morning. Delahunt, who was a tram conductor, with a wife and family living at 125 Sullivan Avenue, Woolston, had been admitted to hospital last Sunday. He fell on an asphalt surface, where he was discovered about noon. Death occurred at 4.40 p.m.
