YOUTH'S OFFENCES
BREAKING AND ENTERING

AUCKLAND, October 22.
A 17-year-old boy, John, Grahame Hedley, tailor's cutter, admitted seven charges of theft and breaking and entering in the Magistrate's Court.
Evidence was given by city shopkeepers that their premises had been entered, generally through, fanlights or. windows,'and money or goods stolen. Hedley said he spent the money on amusements, and told his parents he was working overtime; When' he handed his wages to his mother he gave her something extra, sometimes as much as fifteen shillings, which he told her was overtime.
The accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
