A meeting of the Wellington Public Hospital, Ladies* Auxiliary was held at the Public -Hospital recently* j . Pub* lie Library,.; Miss Preston reported that the Toe H,League of Women.Helpers visited Victoria , Ward regularly and had made.for .inmates a supply of sox and woolly- caps.

Mrs. , Chisholm offered the use of her car to take patients for outings.

Votes of thanks were passed to Mr. Rollinson for cutting out the Christmas jackets, to the Singer Sewing Machine Co. for hemstitching them, and to Mrs.J. C, Webb for all her work with . them- These jackets are worn for the first time by the inmates of the children's ward for their Christmas Eve party and are eagerly looked forward to as being comfortable and pretty.

The annual meeting will be held on' November 30.
