THE GORE MEETING

TOMORROW'S FORM. HORSES

The Gore Racing Club's Spring Meeting, in the past opening on Labour Day, will commence this year tomorrow and will conclude on Labour Day, the change in days being the result of the alteration in the local half-holiday. On several occasions this meeting has given valuable information, on New Zealand Cup and Stewards' Handicap horses, but the only Cup horse engaged in tomorrow's fields is Queen Dorothy, though three Stewards' candidates in Bay Duke, Wild Career, and Silver Lark figure in the sprint. The betting will be under, the win-and-place system, now practically universal in Southland. The following horses will be fancied: Pukerau Highweight.—Poniard and Vantoon. , Waimea Hack Handicap.—Autumn Wind and Silver Lark (or Patricia Holm). ■ J Spring Handicap.—Travenna and Wall Street. Labour Day Trot.—Labour Chimes 'and Oasis. Novice Handicap.—Gold Boa and Rodeur. Stewards' Handicap.—Bay Duke and Wild Career. Mataura Trot.—Golden Miller and Worthy Claire. . Charlton Handicap.—Araboa and Jack Ahoy. The card is as follows:—
