INCREASES IN ENGLAND

Membership of all trade unions in Britain at the end of 1935 was 4,842,000, representing an increase, of 272,000.0n the total at the end of 1934. These increases, following .on those which occurred in 1934, have lifted the total trade union membership to the, level of that of ,1930, increases in the last two years having more than counter-balanced the substantial reductions which occurred in 1931 and 1932.
