(Received October 21, 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 20. .< At least 15,000 persons from all parts of the Empire, including 1000 Australians and New Zealanders, are expected to attend a Coronation, conference to be held at Olympia on May 18 and 19.
Invitations to every society of importance are at present on the way to Australia and New Zealand.
The chief objective of the conference is the creation of a permanent secretariat in London, with sub-organisa-tions throughout the Empire, in order to remedy disruptive tendencies throughout the Empire. The conference will also discuss migration, defence, and monetary policy. Mr.,, John Webb, the secretary, informed the Associated Press agency that he expects that the conference will be the most important Imperial gathering since the Statute of Westminster.
