PROPOSAL REJECTED
FOOTBALL CONFERENCE
In June last the council of s the New Zealand Football Association wrote to the English Football Association supporting the proposal of- the, Australian Soccer Football Association that the E.F.A. should be asked to convene a meeting. in London of representatives of Dominion and colonial associations to discuss ways in which, the developmet of the game could be assisted in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa. ■
Canada and South Africa also supported .the proposal, but the: English Football Association has informed the four associations that upon receipt of particulars of any matters desired to be discussed the English Association would; be pleased to convene a meeting between, its representatives and the representatives of the Dominion and colonial associations who were at present serving on the-English Council. •. : . . . , . ■ .. Notification from the E.F-A. to thi« effect was received without comment by the council of the New Zealand Football Association last night. • ;:
