WOODVILLE VISITORS

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

PALMERSTON N., This Day. Woodville stables will be fairly well represented at the Welington Meeting and some of the horses should more than pay their way. Fred Davis is taking half-a-dozen and his string leaves at midday today. Jack Sullivan will race two at Trentham and it is understood they are going through tomorrow. B. Goodman went on to Trentham from Masterton. ■ ;

Fred Davis is taking Red Manfred, Karl, Plato, Francis Drake, Aiwai, and Geira. Red Manfred is an improved horse since his trip north. Karl was a bit of a disappointment at Auckland but this was possibly due to having to gallop the reverse way. Plato will be having his first outing under silk at Trentham since his enforced let-up. He looks well but -will require a race, or two before he reaches top form. Francis Drake is very well, Aiwai and Geira are both in good fettle, P. Burgess will be riding Red Manfred, P. Atkins Karl and Aiwai, and W.. J. Broughton Plato, Francis Drake, and Geira. ■ ,

J. Sullivan is taking Son and Heir and Snowball, and B. Goodman will be represented by Golden Ridge. S. Anderson's riding engagements for Trentham are Le Toquet, Contract, and Laughing Chief. In addition to his rides for the Davis stable, W. J. Broughton will pilot Round Score.
