Directors of the Bruce .Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., report a larger profit earned, after lull provision for. increased income tax, enabling them to write off £5500, an increase of £1500 over the previous year. The balance of urofit available, including £584 13s '" carried forward from last year, is S. 57 Is 7d, from which the directors recommend payment of the dividend on, preference shares amounting to £2300, as well as a dividend of 3 per cent, on ordinary capital, amounting to £3000, leaving a balance of £657 Is 7d to be carried forward. If approved, the dividend, which is at an unchanged rate, will be payable on November 18.
