JULIAN'S TEAM COMING
(By Telegraph.) (Special from "Early Bird.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Lord Val and Master Brierly were under orders to leave for Trentham yesterday afternoon to fulfil engagements at the Wellington Meetuig. The Te Rapa trainer A: J. Julian expects to get away from Frankton this evening with his team, which is expected to comprise Star Artist, Light Comedy, and Rollicker. The two-year-old Royal Bachelor may not make the trip, for he is a big colt and he will probably be allowed a bit of time to develop. In view of the Trentham trip Star Artist and Light Comedy were withdrawn from their engagements at Avondale yesterday afternoon. The team will race on the second and third !days at Trentham. Mr. W. H. Maria is to take Triune and Airam to Trentham for the second and third days' racing and will then go on to Riccarton. He will probably leave Velocipede at home, for the Australianbred horse is still a bit tender and a complete breakdown might result if he were raced on the now hardening tracks. This leaves Velocipede's New Zealand Cup engagement very nfiich in the air.
