A stroke competition on the Hull links on Saturday'was won by EChandler, with 77/8—69. The runnerup was P. J. R. Fordham, with 87, 10 —71.
* Competitions during the weekend resulted: Bogey, J. Kember (2), 2 clown; G.: C. Phillips (3).-3 down. Fourball. G. A. H. Field (9) and J. N. D. Macdonald (5), 4 up; N. A. Clouston (10) and P. OSllerm (11), 4 up; W. H. Lees, sen. (3), and J. F. McLean (14). 4 up. In a count back Field and Macdonald won.
i The final of the intermediate championship was played yesterday over 36 holes between A. Jenkins and J. Flanagan. Jenkins was lup at the end 'of the morning; and increased his lead to 3 up at the twentieth. Flanagan squared the match at the twenty-sixth.' Jenkins then made a spurt and was dormie 2, 'but Flanagan showed fine fighting spirit, won the thirty-fifth and thirtysixth, and took the match at the thirtyseventh by sinking a putt for a birdie 3. .
