CIRCUIT ARRANGEMENTS

Circuit arrangements for the quarterly sittings of the Supreme Court are as follows:— Palmerston North, commencing tomorrow, Mr. Justice Ostler. Napier, commencing October 27, and Gisbon 1 , commencing November 3, Mr. Justice Smith. Wanganui, commencing November 2, and New Plymouth,, commencing November 9, Sir John Reed. Blenheim, commencing .November 17, and Nelson, commencing November 24, Mr. Justice Ostler. Wellington, criminal cases, commencing today, Mr. Justice Johnston; retrial of Hastings^case, Mr. Justice Blair; bankruptcy matters, Sir John Reed. Civil cases for trial by jury are to start on October 27, and two Courts will be engaged with them- daily until the end of November. . Fixtures for cases for trial by a Judge alone are to be made after the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) returns from England. Sir Michael is expected this week, tindefended divorce cases are to be taken on Thursday next.
