Mrs. Rewi Murray, "Alton Downs,'' Marlborbugh, and her small daughter* will arrive in Wellington tomorrow morning to stay with Mrs. Murray's mother, Mrs. Frank Leckie, Glenmore Street. Mrs. J. H. Dickenson, Wellington, who has been visiting Auckland, is now spending a few days at the Bay of Islands. , Miss Kathleen Jacobsen and Miss June Simpson, Christchurch, are visiting Wellington to'be bridesmaids at the wedding of Miss Myra Jacobsen. Miss Gay Wilson, Bemuera, Auckland, will arrive in Wellington on Wednesday to stay with Mrs; Godfrey Wilson. Mrs. S, R. Gladshaw (Napier), Mrs. B. N. Manderson, Mrs. R. T. Goode, and Mrs. C. L. Pope (Gisborne) are guests at the Empire Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Bennett (nee Miss May Liverton), accompanied by Miss June Bennett, Hawkestone Street, left on Saturday by the, 'Mariposa for Honolulu. Mrs. D. Crombie, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Russell Matthews, New Plymouth. Mrs. G. Basan, Woolston, Christchurch, will arrive in Wellington next Friday to spend" a holiday with her mother, Mrs. C. Collins. Mrs. A. E. A. Newlands (Sydney), Mrs. John Mac Donald (Inyercargill); Miss Lorraine Norton (Sydney), and Mrs. M. B. Fitzsimons (Taihape) are guests at the Grand Hotel. , Mrs. A. H. O'Leary, Devonport, Auckland, arrived in Wellington today en route for Duriedin,, when she will play in the cliampionship golf tournament. ■•• ■; ■ .. Miss Jessie Messenger, Inglewood, is visiting Palmerston North and Wellington. , ■ Miss Peggy Clowes and Miss Edna Edmonds, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington on Saturday to join the Jonic for a.trip to Auckland. Gisborne, and Napier. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Christie returned to Wellington by car from a stay at Lake House, Lake Waikaremoana. Mrs. L. B. Lewis, who has been the guest of Mrs. J..-W. Ogle, Hawera, has returned to Wellington. '' , Mrs. H. Wilkinson, who has spent the last year at 'Wanganui, has rer turned ,to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. D. Jenkins, Wanganui, formerly of Wellington, are revisiting the city. ' Mrs. G. P. Dixon (Nelson), Mrs. M. Steinberg (Auckland), and Mrs. Chance (England) are staying at the Hotel St George. i Mrs. T. Gough (Christchurch), Miss E. M. Bedford (Melbourne), and Miss M. Samson (Wanganui) -arc guests at the Royal Oak Hotel. Miss M. Samson, Wanganui, is visiting : Wellington on her way to the South Island. . HaroldJSmith, Pahiatua, and Miss Audrey Ross Walton, -daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Walton,' Auckland (states."The Post's", correspondent). Mr. and Mrs. Cecil J. Wray held a reception at Grosvenor House which was attended by 125 New Zealand friends. The bridegroom is hon. secret tary of the New Zealand Society, and is an active member of the New Zealand Masonic Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will make a trip to New Zealand in December.
