MEDICAL OPINIONS
COMMENT BY JUDGE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 8,
In the Supreme Court today during, the hearing of the application to have probate of a will allegedly made by the late Elizabeth Smith revoked and the will declared null and void, Dr. Alexander Cameron McKillop, superintendent of Sunnyside Mental Hospital, said that from the affidavits in the case which he had perused, he considered Miss Smith unfit to make a will. He corroborated the evidence of Dr.. Russell that Miss Smith was in a state of senile^ dementia.
In answer to Mr. Barraclough, witness said he considered Miss Smith should have been certified and committed to a mentai institution.
Before counsel commenced their addresses, his Honour asked that great care be taken to see that the, documentary evidence was put forward in as plete a form as possible. ''There'is a possibility," his .Honour added, "that the case may not, rest here.".
The hearing., was adjourned till, tomorrow. ' ■ "'•.•■■■
