MITCHELLTOWN CLUB

There was a large attendance of members and friends at the Mitchelltown Tennis Club courts on Saturday afternoon when the Hon. P: Fraser, patron of the club, officially opened the courts for the season. Mr. Fraser briefly sketched .the history of the club's formation, and mentioned that with the introduction of the 40-hour week members would have more time for play. After wishing the club a successful season, Mr. Fraser served the first ball over the net. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies. A Yankee tournament was held, the winners being Mr. W. Greenbank and Mrs. Hancock.
