BEBE WITTS-BURT

TUITION COMMENCED

. The committee controlling the Bebe Witts-Burt Gift Fund has received advice from Mrs. Burt, who is in London, stating that. Bebe Witts-Burt, better known to many New Zealanders as "Baby Witts," has commenced her tuition with the famous Bussian ballerina, Madame Lydia Kyasht, a former class-mate of Anna Pavlova.

After seeing Bebe dancing at a students' class, Madame wrote the following letter to the child's mother:— "Dear Mrs. Burt,—l have seen your daughter dancing and I have come to the conclusion that she has exceptional talent. I would like your daughter to train with me as besides the examination classes of the Imperial Society she must have the training of the real Russian school, of which mine is the only one in England. I am quite prepared to take your daughter at reduced fees, on the grounds of her extraordinary ability, and in addition to the usual course I will give her three private lessons a month. I think I can safely promise your daughter a great dancing career. I will do my very best for her and I think New Zealand will one day be very, proud of their young representative."
