LEAGUE'S NEW ROOMS

A special party, which was arranged by the students', social committee of the New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing, took place in the league's mew rooms in the. Beehive Chambers On Saturday night. Over sixty f guests .were received by Mrs. Nicholson' (hon. secretary), Miss Eggleton (Up, : reading instructress); and other, hostesses for "the "evening. 'Admiration of the new rooms and "the bright and cheerful furnishings was expressed by all. In welcoming, the guests, .Miss Eggleton sa'id that the house-warming was felt to be quite an important event in the progress of the Wellington branch of the league. Warm gratitude was expressed towards the various business firms and individual fri .ids for their generous response to the league's appeal for help with furnishing . the rooms. The students themselves had worked with a will at the several "working bees" which had been found necessary, and the general results were most gratifying. . A bright and varied programme was followed by supper.
